Hey guys! I am always on the verge of looking for new healthy recipes to try and once I find one that catches my eye I am always excited to try it.

I love eating healthy and salmon is a very lean meat with many benefits. This is a baked honey-lime salmon garnished with cilantro. I found this recipe at Facebook its from Le Creme de la Crumb.

BAKED SALMON

I found this recipe to be inexpensive and the ingredients were easy to find. I bought a pack of salmon that brought two thin fillets, so I decided to cook both. This could yield from 2-4 servings, depending on the serving size. I like my food to have good flavor and to be well seasoned.

- I seasoned the salmon with a few sprinkles of Himalayan pink salt, pepper, garlic, dry oregano and "adobo criollo".

- I placed the fillets in the foil sheet inside the baking pan.

- I sliced one of the lemons and placed it around the fillets.

- I melted the butter, mixed with the lime juice and the honey. Then poured it into the pan and let it marinade for about an hour.

- Placed the salmon in the oven and baked. Then garnished with the chopped cilantro.

The salmon cooked up well and had good flavor. However, for my taste it was too much lemon favored and I couldn't almost feel the honey, which was more of the flavor I was expecting. Nonetheless, it was good and my dad loved it!

BAKED SWEET POTATO "FRIES"

In addition to the salmon, I made some baked sweet potato "fries".

- I used one (1) sweet potato, which I peeled and cut into "fries".

- I had them soak on a bowl with water for a few hours.

- Then I drained the water and added olive oil, black pepper, salt and sugar.

- I greased two baking sheets and placed each potato. Then I had them bake in the oven.

- Somewhere at the mid-time I pulled them out and sprinkled them with a mix of sugar and cinnamon.

- My stove is old so I had it set at the maximum temperature and the potatoes where there for about an hour and 15 minutes.
